Estes Park Childcare Needs Assessment RFP May 26 2017

This is a request for proposal for an Estes Park Colorado Childcare Needs Assessment commissioned through the Estes Park EDC, Town of Estes Park and Estes Park stakeholders. 

Here are responses prepared for questions submitted by three potential respondents. 
2017 Childcare Needs Assessment RFP Questions

Question 1:         Do you have a range or maximum budget allocated for the Needs Assessment that you can share with prospective applicants? 

Answer 1:            $35-40,000 is our estimate.

Question 2:         Do you have a desired timeline in which you would like to have the Needs Assessment completed?

Answer 2:            December 2017.

Question 3:         In Section 3.3, the proposal indicates that you would like to see recommendations to address funding options and responsible entities. Can you provide more information on these items?

Answer 3:            If you have experience in funding public/private partnerships in the State of Colorado, sharing conceptual ideas on how this may work and who might be viable private partners would be of interest.

Question 5:         Under Section 3.3, the RFP states that the assessment must include "background research and demographic trends.” Will the Estes Park EDC provide any of necessary data to be analyzed (school district, demographic and home ownership)?
Answer 5:            Some such information is available at  We have used the tools at the StatsAmerica website, as it is easy to access and use.

Information on school district enrollment by age should be available directly from the Estes Park R-3 School District.

Estes Park is located east of the Continental Divide, providing easy highway connections to Colorado Front Range communities such as Boulder, Fort Collins, Longmont and Loveland.  

Situated about 65 miles northwest of Denver, at 7,522 feet above sea level, Estes Park sits in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.
