Estes Park Wellness Center Capital Campaign Approved for Colorado Tax Credit
On Thursday November 17, 2016 the Colorado Economic Development Commission approved the EPMC Foundation Enterprise Zone application for its capital campaign. This makes the EPMC Wellness Center a contributing project and anchor institution for wellness projects and a continued industry sector in the Estes Valley.
Estes Park EDC President and CEO Jon Nicholas was in attendance at the hearing and later stated that this will enable the EPMC Foundation to offer a 25% Colorado income tax credit to the capital campaign's contributors. He went on to say that the tax credit can be claimed for up to $750,000 per year with a cap of $100,000 for an individual donor.
We owe a special thanks to Larimer County Enterprise Zone Administrator and Estes Park EDC Board Member Jacob Castillo, who helped ensure the success of the application. There was a great deal of thought and effort needed to ensure that the Office of Economic Development and International Trade staff and ultimately the Commission were comfortable with the application. The Estes Park EDC plays a supporting role in carrying out and promoting the Enterprise Zone to promote regional vitality.
