Estes Park EDC Welcomes New Board Members

At its February meeting, the Estes Park Economic Development Corporation (Estes Park EDC)  Board approved three new Board member positions. Bob Holcomb joins the Board as a representative of Town of Estes Park Board of Trustees and Greg Rosener is joining as the business owner for his new commercial real estate company.   

Bob Holcomb

Bob Holcomb has a long history of association with Estes Park and started visiting in the early 1970’s. He majored in Political Science and Town Administration at the University of Iowa. After graduation he served in management, merchandising and, and sales training positions for a national retailer at store, district, and corporate levels. From there he moved into finance and the Certified Financial Planner designation while serving as President and Chief Executive Officer of a financial services firm. Over the years, he retained his interest in government by participating in several civic organizations and served eight years in the elected position of President of the Board of Directors of the High County Fire Protection District. He is now serving his first term as a Town of Estes Park Board Trustee.

Greg Rosener

Greg Rosener has been a resident of Estes Park and involved in the community for over 50 years. Greg studied at the University of Wyoming and finished his degree in Business Administration at CU Boulder. In the early 1970’s Greg bought his Fathers real estate business and started his own construction and property management business which got him involved with town politics. This got him involved with the Chamber of Commerce and into town politics. Greg later met with Estes Park business owner Charley Dickey about forming what is now the Estes Park EDC. Working with the Estes Valley Partners for Commerce, they launched the Estes Park EDC Taskforce. Until recently, Greg has worked for the Stanley Hotel to help with guiding the hotel's projects through new development and has now started his own company, Estes Park Vacation Rentals Incorporated here in Estes Park.

Estes Park EDC plans for and promotes the economic development of the Estes Valley in ways that are compatible with those qualities that make Estes Park a unique mountain community.    The Corporation shall use and promote the tools of economic development to create a more dynamic, multi-generational community to the benefit of all citizens.   

It is anticipated that at the next Board meeting, the Rocky Mountain Performing Arts Center will name a replacement Board member to serve on their behalf.
