Estes Park EDC President / CEO Contract Extended
Following the completion of a performance review, the Estes Park Economic Development Corporation (Estes Park EDC) Board of Directors voted unanimously at its February, 2018 Board Meeting to offer Jon Nicholas a two-year extension of his present contract as President / CEO. Nicholas began his tenure with Estes Park EDC with its formation in August of 2013. Prior to that time, he served as the Business Resources Coordinator for the Estes Valley Library District, forming regional connections to resources for local businesses. Nicholas holds a B.B.A. from Washburn University of Topeka, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago.
Estes Park EDC also recently elected Jim Pickering, Chair; Christina Kraft, Vice Chair; Scott Pope, Treasurer; Bill Van Horn, Secretary; and Bob Holcomb, Member at Large, as Executive Committee officers for 2018. Estes Park EDC meets on the third Thursday of each month from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Timberline Room of the Estes Park Medical Center.
The mission of Estes Park EDC is to build a broadly based economy and stronger tax base in the Estes Valley by facilitating local businesses to reach their full potential and by attracting new businesses that create jobs and new employment opportunities.
