The Estes Park EDC Welcomes Naomi Hawf with the Estes Park Housing Authority and Ingrid Bush with The Barrel to its Board of Directors
The Estes Park Economic Development Corporation (Estes Park EDC) recently welcomed two new board members. Naomi Hawf joins the Board as a representative of the Estes Park Housing Authority and Ingrid Bush is joining as the business owner of The Barrel.
Naomi Hawf is currently the Executive Director of the Estes Park Housing Authority (EPHA). Prior to this role, she was the property manager of Falcon Ridge Apartments, the most recent EPHA development of 48 apartment homes. Her career in housing started in May of 2016. Naomi has worked for the City and County of Denver, the City of Greenwood Village, and United Airlines before arriving in the Estes Park area. As a child of the military, she traveled often living in other countries and learning different cultures. She moved to the Denver metro area 30 years ago and as of 2015 she is now a resident of Storm Mountain in Drake. Naomi is married to long time local, Brian Hawf and they share three children and two grandchildren with a third on the way. When not working, she enjoys time spent with friends and family, hosting gatherings, and travel continues to be an interest.
Ingrid Bush says, “My full time gig is being the mother of a beautiful 3 ½ year old who was born less than a month before my husband and I opened our first business: The Barrel here in Estes Park. It has been a rollercoaster getting here as I have had several different careers in several different industries. I have been an event producer, marketing manager for CPA firms, business development coordinator, risk analysis team coordinator and legal assistant. People ask me all the time how Lou and I got into the bar business; short story, we have been avid supporters, fans, aficionados of the craft beer industry for years, both of us grew up with bars in our home and knew we wanted one in our home as well. When the opportunity of us opening up a bar presented itself, we took it, jumped right in and despite all of the hurdles we have had to overcome, there is no other job I would rather be doing.”
Estes Park EDC’s Board includes a mix of representatives from businesses, business associations, non-profits and government. Estes Park EDC uses and promote the tools of economic development to create a more dynamic, multi-generational community to the benefit of all citizens. Estes Park EDC plans for and promotes the economic development of the Estes Valley in ways that are compatible with those qualities that make Estes Park a unique mountain community
