About Us
A vibrant community is only possible with job creation.
The Estes Park EDC
The Estes Park EDC formed in August 2013 due to the recognized need for a sustained, systemic economic development effort for the Estes Valley and surrounding region. Economic development is an important component of the quality of life for all residents.
The Colorado floods of September 2013 caused us to focus initial efforts on supporting existing businesses. By June of 2014, in partnership with the Larimer SBDC, our office had assisted over 80 businesses concerning the Recover Colorado business grant program when fewer than 200 businesses had applied for the program statewide.
Mission Statement
The Corporation shall plan for and promote the economic development of the Estes Valley in ways that are compatible with those qualities that make Estes Park a unique mountain community.
The Corporation exists to build a stronger and more broadly-based economy and tax base; to advise and assist existing local businesses to reach their full economic potential; and to attract new businesses that create primary jobs and new employment opportunities.
The Corporation shall use and promote the tools of economic development to create a more dynamic, multi-generational community to the benefit of all citizens.
