Estes Park EDC Releases COVID-19 Guidance for Estes Valley Businesses

The Estes Park Economic Development Corporation (Estes Park EDC) is working with officials from Larimer County and the Town of Estes Park to monitor and respond to the threat of Covid-19 Coronavirus in the Estes Valley business community.

As a premier mountain destination, we’re grappling with an issue that could have enormous financial impacts in addition to the overwhelming human impact it’s already having. At the Estes Park EDC, we believe it is our role and responsibility during this time to prioritize two things: the economic sustainability of our businesses and community while also playing a constructive role in supporting local health officials, government leaders and partners. Through that lens, we will continue to make decisions and offer services informed by the latest science-based information and business trends while being guided by our Board of Directors and stakeholders.

With the summer tourist season on the horizon, businesses in the Estes Valley should prepare for a range of outcomes. The Estes Park EDC is prepared to support businesses experiencing financial impacts resulting from the pandemic and accordingly, we urge affected businesses to contact President/CEO Adam Shake at ashake@estesparkedc.com or by calling 970-577-1031. We are in daily conversations with local, county, state and federal organizations about business relief options and we need your feedback to inform these conversations.

Consulting firm McKinsey & Company recently released a thorough analysis which outlines three possible economic scenarios resulting from the crisis: a quick recovery, a global slowdown, and a pandemic-driven recession. We are privileged to serve you and the community.
